About the Award

For 22 years, the Goldbach Crossmedia Award has promoted cross-media communication in the Swiss media and advertising industry. The award recognizes outstanding cross-media campaigns that impress most through their intelligent networking, media-appropriate, and target-group-oriented implementation. Since 2018, the Goldbach Crossmedia Award has been presented at the “Best of Swiss Web” Award Night.

Cross-media is the networking of a communication idea across various media and target individuals, leading to an in-depth, interactive experience of a brand or offer and creating added value.

Explanations:

  • It is not the number of networked media that is decisive, but their most sensible and effective networking.
  • Whether Online or offline media is not crucial, but whether the symbiosis works.
  • Cross-media is not determined by the size of the budget, but by optimal networking in terms of time and location.

In addition to Gold, Silver and Bronze awards are presented.

In addition to the main prizes, the Audience Award is presented, to give the public the opportunity to co-determine the best cross-media campaign.

The Cross-media Award recognizes campaigns that impress most through their innovative and intelligent networking, as well as media-appropriate implementation. The following criteria are applied when evaluating submitted works:

  • Creative Core Idea
  • Strategy of cross-media deployment, intelligent networking, and target-oriented media usage
  • Innovation through the use of new media, formats, technologies
  • Creative implementation, as well as media- and target-group-appropriate staging and brand language
  • Quantitative and qualitative evidence of success, as well as the effectiveness of the entire campaign
  • Overall Impression

The jury consists of specialists from creative and media agencies, as well as corporate advertisers. The members were selected by the jury president and the organizer.

The judging takes place behind closed doors. All submitted works that were published within the admission period and comply with the submission conditions will be evaluated. Fictitious and questionable cases will not be considered.

The judging process is divided into an individual preliminary judging and a joint main judging. The jury president does not have voting rights.

All campaigns conceived and developed in Switzerland and implemented in 2025 are eligible. For international campaigns, results relating to the Swiss market must be demonstrated.

Tips & Tricks

When submitting, it is crucial that the creativity, innovation, and effectiveness of the campaign are convincingly presented. Below you will find a checklist and selected tips and tricks to best present your case. Do not forget to submit your project finally via the Online Tool by the deadline.

Remember to design your submission in a way that convinces the jury and leaves a lasting impression. The clearer and more convincing your argumentation, the higher your chances of winning the Goldbach Crossmedia Award.

Allow sufficient time for the preparation of the submission.
Involve all relevant individuals from the outset, such as clients or the media agency, to obtain all important information in a timely manner.

  • TITLE
Choose a meaningful title for the campaign. The commissioning company and agencies are always specified together with the campaign title. Therefore, an explicit mention in the title is not necessary.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Create a concise summary of the case that can be used for publication on the website and in the trade press.
  • INITIAL SITUATION/TASK
Describe the initial situation and the biggest challenge of the campaign. Explain the background and context for general understanding.
  • TARGET AUDIENCE
Which target audience was addressed by the campaign?
  • CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES
Which objectives were to be achieved with the campaign?
  • STRATEGY AND CONCEPT OF NETWORKING (MODEL)
Explain the strategy and concept of media networking and why these specific channels were chosen for the campaign. A visualization for better understanding is desirable.
  • CREATION/IMPLEMENTATION
What is the creative core idea of the work? How was it implemented? Which criteria were particularly considered during creation and implementation?
  • BUDGET
What was the media budget (Paid Media) for the entire campaign?
  • QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS, AS WELL AS THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE ENTIRE CAMPAIGN
Do not forget the sources! Provide a brief overview of the results and measurement criteria. Please explain what results the action led to and why the campaign is considered successful. For international campaigns, please provide results that relate to the Swiss market.
  • ADVERTISING MATERIALS USED
Provide a brief overview of all advertising materials used.
  • CREDITS
Please list all agencies/companies involved in the campaign that should be mentioned in the communication surrounding the Goldbach Crossmedia Award. A list of individual participants is not required.
  • FILE UPLOAD
Please upload all campaign documents that might be relevant for the jury’s evaluation via the submission tool.Key Visual
Submit a high-resolution key visual of the campaign in landscape format. This will be used for subsequent communication regarding the Goldbach Crossmedia Award.

    Case Film
The submission of a case film is not mandatory, but advantageous. This provides the jury members with an overview of all relevant key facts of your campaign.

The submission should be easy to understand and comprehensible. Complex ideas should be explained clearly and simply so that the jury can understand the uniqueness and value of the campaign.

When submitting, also consider the common thread. A well-told story can emotionally engage the jury and convey your message more effectively.

Pay attention to correct spelling, as a professional appearance increases credibility.

Naturally, your campaign is very extensive, and you would ideally like to include all possible details. Nevertheless, focus on the essentials for better understanding.

Insider Tip: The jury has to review a large number of campaigns. Concise, to-the-point submissions stand out.

With the abundance of information and documents that need to be submitted, something can quickly be overlooked. Before the final submission, double-check that everything is complete.

Even if you know your own campaign inside out. It is quite possible that our jury – all experts from the media industry – will learn about the campaign for the first time during the judging. Have a third party (possibly a layperson) read through your submission.

A clean, visual presentation of the case completes the overall picture. A clear structure highlighting the most important points, along with an appealing design, also leaves a positive impression.

To ensure better understanding and to illustrate the answers more clearly, additional visualizations can be uploaded for all questions. These enhance the campaign and present your cases clearly and convincingly.

Submit on time to ensure your work is considered for the Goldbach Crossmedia Award.

Allow sufficient time and any time buffers for preparation to avoid potential last-minute stress.
